Meet and greet session for plankton surveys ( BMRI, UMS )

Lecture and discussion. ( BMRI, UMS )
- Introduction to plankton & plankton analysis methods.
- Harmful Algal Blooms (HAB) and its impacts.
11:30AM – 12:30PM
Tour of UMS hatchery ( BMRI, UMS )
12:30PM – 2:00PM
Lunch - Marina Café, BMRI
2:00PM – 5:00PM
Introduction to HAB species culture in UHABS lab. ( BMRI, UMS )
- Microscope observation of species.
- Cell count training.

Briefing of sampling plan of the day. Check sampling equipment and safety precautions. - UMS Boathouse

Sampling at 5 stations along KK coastal waters beginning KK port (north) to SHR (south). - On board UMS boat
12:00PM – 1:30PM
Lunch - SHR Marina
1:30PM – 2:00PM
Transfer back to BMRI, UMS - By UMS boat
2:00PM – 5:00PM
Sample analysis in the laboratory. ( BMRI, UMS )
- Species identification and cell counts.
- Data analysis.
